Web Hosting & Website Management Services
Web Hosting
Most Culture Cube clients choose us for their web hosting.
We offer competitive rates, and in-house hosting gives us (and you) several advantages:
- Dedicated or shared hosting, depending on need. A large e-commerce site requires hosting separate from smaller business sites.
- Improved performance. We optimize server settings and allocate resources to ensure your site loads fast.
- Efficient troubleshooting. If anything goes wrong with your site, it’s much easier to pinpoint the problem and take corrective action if we have direct control of the server hosting your site.
- Consolidated site management. We also take care of business email accounts, passwords, site security, domain name billing, and all the other things that come with a business website.
- Consistent backup. We take a complete snapshot of your site every week. We back up databases daily.
- Secure hosting. We secure all sites with LetsEncrypt SSL; the cost of a certificate is included in your hosting plan.
- 24/7 monitoring. If server CPU or RAM use rises too high, we get immediate alerts to make adjustments and prevent downtime.
- Adjustments on the fly. You won’t see wild fluctuations in site speed as demands change because we’ll preemptively boost your hosting capacity or even move your site to a dedicated server, if necessary, without the delay of logging a ticket with a third-party hosting service.
In the past, we sometimes noticed a significant drop in page load speed when our sites went from development to hosting on a third-party service. That’s a big deal because slow-loading pages cost you business and pose a barrier to rank.
With Culture Cube’s web hosting service, we’re confident your site will perform better than your competitors’ sites.
Website Management
Optional monthly maintenance makes good sense for your business because:
- All websites degrade over time if not maintained. They lose traffic, develop errors, and convert poorly.
- Platforms and plug-ins go out of date, in which case your site may not render.
- Google cares about the “freshness” of a site. A neglected site won’t get crawled enough to rank.
- All sites should be redesigned every 5-6 years as technology evolves. For instance, who thought about mobile compatibility in 2009? But it’s much easier and less expensive to overhaul a well-maintained site than a site that’s badly out of date.
- You’ll get a better deal. It’s cheaper to buy a service contract than to pay for occasional work at full hourly rates.
Depending on the level of your service contract, we’ll:
- Update all software and plug-ins on your site.
- Update your redirect file so you don’t lose customers to 404 errors.
- Fix broken links and site errors.
- Keep existing content fresh on your site.
- Add new pages on-demand if you expand your service offerings or area.
- Regularly add new pages every month to build your search visibility.
A small 20-page site will need much less maintenance than a 200-page site. But a large site represents a considerable investment. Creating a page that drives healthy search traffic can take two or three days or more.
According to the Search Engine Journal, most small business sites get fewer than 16 visits per day. If a page brings in 40 visits daily and 20 phone calls monthly, isn’t it worth protecting with occasional updates?
